Celebrate Earth Day with MAP at the Community Arts Center in Historic Downtown Truckee on Friday, April 19th from 5 pm – 9 pm. The evening will be filled with award-winning films focused on adventure, activism, and conservation. Tickets are now on sale! April 20th Earth Day at Squaw At The Village at Squaw Valley – 11am to 5pm
Our local Earth Day celebration is one of the largest environmental education events in the area. The event provides local residents and visitors an opportunity to learn about the various environmental issues that affect the North Lake Tahoe – Truckee Region. The North Lake Tahoe/Truckee Earth Day festival is hosted primarily by volunteers of the Tahoe Earth Day Foundation, a local non-profit, with the support of other non-profits, local agencies, businesses and dedicated supporters.
April 27 South Lake Tahoe Earth Day – Bijuo Park – 10am to 3:00pm
South Lake Tahoe Earth Day is a Family friendly, free event celebrating our unique Lake Tahoe environment. Live music, great food, Kid’s Zone and much more. This year’s theme is “Protect Our Species”. Come join the fun; bike, walk or bus for extras.
Save the Date! The 24th Annual Truckee River Day – October 20, 2019
Join members of the community and Foriver for a day of river, meadow and wetland restoration. You will be working side-by-side with other volunteers to plant restoration sites with seedlings and willows, remove invasive vegetation, mulch sensitive areas, and more.
